Drabble: Early Morning Musings

Pairing: Jasper/Seth
Prompt: Imagine your OTP in bed, early morning. Person A is still asleep, curled up in the covers. Person B is awake, just watching them, smiling softly.
Thump thump…thump thump…
This is my favorite time of the day. The clock says it’s just a little past five, still another two hours before Seth normally wakes up to start his day. Out the window I can see the blackness of night starting to give way to the sun coming up. Seth’s heart is still slow, beating rhythmically with his even breathing. His face is relaxed in sleep… though only half of it is visible under the covers he had pulled up to his face.
I smile as I prop myself up on one elbow, just watching him. Seth is so different from the rest of the wolves in his pack. Though he runs at a constant 108 degrees, just like them, he often wears t-shirts, torn jeans… or sleeps with more than just a sheet to cover his body. I often think it’s a good thing that I don’t have to sleep or have need of the covers… because Seth is a cover hog.
