LOL! My assesment of Bella last week to my best friend was "EMo without a clue". I am 37 next month and I really resented that all my daughter's friends wanted to be like Bella. I was like, "What? Yu mean whiny, useless and completely a self-obsessed asshat?" I made it exactly half way through the first book when I decided that the only way it could redeme itself was if Bella died.
Obviously it's still on my "burn it and save yourself the wasted time" list. Right next to the last three Harry Potter books. (The first ones were great though.)
I liked Robert Pattison until this movie. I took my teenage daughter to it and she was like "hmmm.... he needed a bath. Oh yes, and better taste in wenches."
I was momentarily proud that she had inherited my abhorrence of useless women. I haven't seen such a bad role model for young women in fiction since, oh, I don't know....Eowyn!!! (another rant altogether)
