Drabble: Cat's Outta the Bag
Fandom: Twilight
Pairing: Emmett/Edward
Prompt: Carlisle and Esme find out about their relationship
Emmett leaned against the wall, one hand casually tucked into his pocket while the other rested on Edward’s shoulder. Edward sat on the couch next to him, only the arm separating them. Both were watching as Carlisle and Esme gathered their thoughts (Edward more so than Emmett).
It had been a week since Carlisle and Esme had come home two days early from a hunting trip and found them engaged in some rather… intimate activities on the kitchen counter.
It hadn’t been the way they had exactly wanted their “parents” to find out. But that was how it had happened. Emmett squeezed Edward’s shoulder as if he knew what his lover was thinking. Glancing up at him Edward gave him a little grin. Looking back at the other two Edward licked his lips. “So…”
“Do the others know?” Esme questioned, her hand resting on Carlisle’s shoulder.
Emmett snorted. “Why else do you think Rose went to Alaska? And really? Pixie can see the future and Jazz can feel everything. Yeah, they know.”
Carlisle sighed. “While my shock has passed I still don’t know what to think. I can only trust that you understand what you’re getting yourselves into?”
Edward smirked. “Since we’ve been together for over two months, yeah, we know.”
