Drabble: Make it a Double
Fandom: Twilight
Pairing: Jasper/Seth
Prompt: "Sacrifice."
“You’re not separating my family Aro,” Carlisle stated.
Aro sighed and shook his head. “Carlisle… you always were so dumb when it came to matters of the heart. You seem to think I’m giving you a choice.”
Carlisle blinked and Esme’s hand tightened around his arm. “Aro, please, these are our children,” she said.
“Only those you created. I will be fair, choose from those you did not.”
Esme and Carlisle looked at each other and then their children. That meant they had to choose from Emmett or Jasper. Esme silently thanked whatever God there was that Alice wasn’t there.
“I’ll go.”
All eyes went to the one who had spoken. Jasper had been hiding Seth behind himself but now Seth stepped into view. Their fingers were still tightly laced together.
“Seth!” Jasper hissed.
Aro approached, a frown on his lips. Jasper growled at him but he barely spared Jasper a glance. “And who are you?” He questioned. “Why would I want a smelly boy?”
Seth presented his hand. He had seen from just around Jasper when Aro arrived that he had seen things by touching Carlisle’s hand. Seth could just barely suppress the shiver that he got when Aro touched his hand.
“Fascinating,” Aro said gleefully after a moment. He turned to Carlisle. “This wolf will be a sufficient sacrifice for your disobedience.”
“No!” Jasper cried.
Aro looked back at him. “You are more than welcome to come too.”
Seth turned to Jasper, his eyes pleading. “Please Jazz…don’t do anything stupid.”
“I can’t let you go alone Seth,” Jasper hissed. Seth didn’t understand what Aro was like… how Aro would break him. He couldn’t let that happen. Jasper met Aro’s eyes ready to give his answer.
