Pairing: Thor/Loki
Prompt: injuries/fragility
“Loki!”
Thor’s voice was practically broken as his friends held him back out of the healer’s way. He barely felt their hands on his arms. The only thing he could see was Loki’s blood soaked, still form lying on the bed under the healer’s hands.
He had been so stupid. So stupid to lead them into that battle. And Loki… Loki was stupid enough to follow him!
Tears fell from his eyes. “Loki…” He whispered. “Live… you have to live…”
Two days later…
Blue eyes slowly blinked open. The first thing Loki became aware of was pain, every fiber of his being ached or throbbed. A pained groan left his throat which only caused more pain because his throat was dry.
“Loki?”
His eyes flickered over to his side. Thor’s exhausted face came into view. Loki tried to get words to form but they died in his throat. His vision was darkening again, sleep taking over before he could even try to fight it. The only thing he could do was to squeeze Thor’s fingers.
Thor breathed a sigh of relief as Loki was claimed by sleep once more. Leaning forward he pressed a gentle kiss to his brother’s cool brow. “Live and stay by my side forever brother.”
