Drabble: Finals

Pairing: Jasper/Seth
Prompt: Finals
Seth sighed heavily as he wrote his final research paper for his second year of college. The eight page paper was due tomorrow at noon, he had four pages and it was 2am. He typed in a quote from the book lying on the table beside him and cited it, looking back at the laptop screen to save his work his vision blurred. Seth blinked and sighed again rubbing his eyes. God he was tired.
Cold hands rested on his shoulders and he could feel his tension ease as his lover sent calming waves into his body. Seth tipped his head back and looked up into his lover’s concerned golden eyes. “I’m okay,” he said. “Just drained… my heart is not in writing this paper.”
“Your mind is tired,” Jasper replied. As soon as Jasper said the world “tired” Seth yawned. “You should sleep.”
“Can’t…” Seth yawned again. “I need to finish this paper. It’s worth 35% of our final grade.”
“Take a power nap, just an hour, I’ll wake you,” Jasper promised. Seth groaned, the idea sounded so appealing. Jasper leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to Seth’s neck. Seth purred tipping his head to the side. “C’mon baby, I’ll wake you in one hour.”
Seth hummed as he gave in. “Alright, but one hour only!”
“Cross my unbeating heart,” Jasper said with a grin. Seth got to his feet and stretched. Jasper followed him to the futon, covering Seth with a sheet once he was laying down, his head on a throw pillow. Sitting on the edge he ran his fingers through Seth’s hair until his shifter fell asleep.
Once Seth was asleep Jasper stood and went to his lover’s laptop. Sitting down he popped his fingers and got to work. Hours passed, Seth slept, and Jasper finished his lover’s paper. At 8am he saved the final draft, having gone through and making sure it sounded like Seth’s writing. His lover now had 8 pages for his final research paper. Standing Jasper went back to the futon and sat next to Seth again. He smiled, running his fingers through Seth’s hair; his lover was so beautiful when he was asleep.
“Seth…” He murmured. His shifter stretched and groaned burying his face into the pillow. “C’mon baby, it’s time to wake up.” Jasper leaned down and kissed Seth’s lips lightly.
Seth blinked and returned the kiss, slowly awaking up. He wrapped his arms around Jasper’s neck as his lover pulled back. “Now that’s what I call a wake up call.”
Jasper smiled. “I can do better,” he purred leaning back in.
“Oh no… I need to finish my paper,” Seth replied. He glanced at the clock and his eyes widened. “Eight o’clock?! You were supposed to wake me in an hour! I’ll never finish my paper on time!”
“Calm down baby, I finished it. You just need to read over it and see if there’s anything you want to change,” Jasper explained stroking Seth’s cheek.
“Y-you…finished it?” Seth questioned with wide eyes. Jasper nodded. “Why?”
“Because I love you, why else?”
Seth smiled and kissed Jasper. “Jazz… you are the best. Thank you. Tonight I’ll give you a proper thank you.”
Jasper grinned. “Now that I will look forward to.”
