Pairing: Jacob/Leah
Prompt: Maybe him comforting her
Jacob watched as Leah paced the length of his living room, which wasn’t that long, before she turned on her heel and repeated the motion. He wasn’t sure what to say to the fuming… no pissed girl. But her younger brother, Seth, had pleaded with him to say something, anything and well… he had always had a soft spot for the younger boy.
“Leah, I know you’re pissed but-” CRACK “…if you could not punch a hole in my wall I would really appreciate it.”
“Fuck you Jacob! You have no idea what I’m feeling, what I’m going through!” Leah yelled.
Jacob sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “No, Leah, I don’t. But I don’t want you hurting yourself either. Sam…”
“DON’T mention his name!”
“…didn’t mean for this to happen. He can’t control it; you know that, this is hurting him just as much as you.”
Leah collapsed onto the couch and buried her face in her hands. “He’s still a bastard.” Jacob lay what he hoped was a comforting hand on Leah’s shoulder but she shrugged him off. “I know why you’re doing this,” she muttered.
“Oh yeah?”
“Seth asked you to. You don’t like me Jacob, you never have.”
“Yeah well, you’re a bitch.” He received a glare for that but continued undeterred. “But Seth loves you more than life itself and you just being his sister couldn’t cause that. So there has to be something there and I’m willing to look for it.”
Leah looked at him, blinking back tears. After a moment she scooted closer and allowed Jacob to wrap his arms around her. She wasn’t one to cry in front of anyone but right now… she just needed the comfort.
