Daughtry.

I've been in love with Chris Daughtry ever since I saw his American Idol audition. From that audition I predicted he would win that season.

Well... he didn't. He was completed screwed out of the top 3. Pissed me off to no end. The girl who beat him forgot half the words she was singing the night of voting. I was pissed. He was shocked. But he will forever remain the true winner from that season in my eyes.

Since then he has become one of the highest grossing contestants from American Idol. He was offered a position with the band Fuel after performing "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)", who at the time was without a lead singer. Chris declined the offer but said he would like to work with them in the future. He formed the band Daughtry and when the first album was released it sold over a million copies in the first 5 weeks, becoming the fastest selling debut rock album in history.

I love the first album. I've listened to my copy until I'm very close to needing a new one. I eagerly awaited the release of the second album. When "Leave This Town" came out, I bought it and listened and... wasn't as impressed. But since then it has really grown on me and I hardcore love about five of the songs from it.
