Having someone to love. Being loved unconditionally in return. It was something Alec had never thought he would have.
Jane had been disgusted when she had learned of his affair with the wolf, Embry. But Alec didn’t care. He loved Embry and knew that Embry loved him back. It was a benefit of imprinting, whatever he wanted of Embry would be. And he wanted Embry to love him.
Alec watched Embry sleep at night, his cold fingers carding their way through Embry’s hair. On occasion he would kiss Embry awake. Whenever he did this he was always greeted with a smile.
Yeah, it was something he never thought he would have but something he was happy to be benefiting from.
