“I’m pregnant.”
Jasper looked up from his book at those words. He blinked at Seth, who stood nervously in the center of the floor in front of him. Those were two words he had never thought it would hear, didn’t think were possible to hear, from his lover. “What?”
Seth sighed and raised a hand to rub his eyes. It was then that Jasper realized Seth was trembling. He quickly stood and wrapped an arm around Seth’s waist. Seth sighed again, though this time it was in relief as he sank into Jasper. He blinked slowly and looked up at Jasper. “Carlisle confirmed it with a blood test,” he said quietly. “I don’t know how, we were always so careful, but… I never thought I would feel this weak.”
Guiding Seth over to the couch to sit Jasper stayed close. “Can I get you anything?”
A little smile tugged at Seth’s lips and he snuggled into Jasper’s side. “Just stay,” he murmured. “Be my strength.”
