Well, this past weekend I went on an adventure. An adventure I... would not encourage anyone else to take, at least by this mode of transportation.

On Friday night I left home on a Greyhound bus bound for Philadelphia, PA to visit [livejournal.com profile] starry_nights88 & [livejournal.com profile] yenny2206. 17 hours spent in cramped seats, almost always cold, and dealing with more than one rude person. But there were the upsides too. I got to see a lot of pretty countryside, I made a new friend who let me mooch off the internet connection on his phone as long as he could charge his phone. BTW, Philly is a gorgeous city and I hope I get the chance to go back for a longer stay so I can explore more.

I got to Philly on Saturday around noon. [livejournal.com profile] yenny2206 picked me up and we headed back to her place. After settling in we fixed an early supper, which was great because I was fucking starving. It was great to be able to sit around the table and openly discuss slash or how badly we wanted to lock Taylor or Jackson in a closet and have our naughty little ways with them XD. Later that night [livejournal.com profile] starry_nights88 put in a movie I had brought with me that she had been needing to see Rules of Attraction. There is a scene where a drug dealer is going on and on, "MF this" and "MF that". Right after this scene I passed out because I was exhausted. Thankfully Starry tells me I didn't snore to badly. She says she would have punched me if I had.

On Sunday, after we overslept, we headed into Philly to see Independence Hall & the Liberty bell. Guess who was the genius who forgot her camera? -raises hand- -_-;;. We took a horse drawn carriage ride through part of historic Philly and it was pretty awesome. Our driver told us lots of interesting facts and his horse, Cash, was a sweetie. After the tour of Independence Hall (during which I knew all the history question answers, go me!) we headed toward this place called The Gallery, which is an underground mall. It was pretty cool. We didn't spend a lot of time there, our one goal was to get Aunt Annie's pretzels and boy were they good. Heading back home Yenny decided to take a nap while Starry and I watched some of the series I brought with me, Blood Ties. I'm gonna get that girl into the fandom yet. You just wait. :P For supper we made a ton of spaghetti.

Today I woke up early, stupid class/work schedule making me wake early. I didn't want to bother Starry so I grabbed my laptop and headed downstairs. I wrote a little bit but nothing worth mentioning... yet. I'm working on something for the Just a Kiss Contest on ff.net. You should enter!

Anyway, Starry got up about 10 and my body decided that it was tired again so I went back to bed until 1. Yenny made pancakes and bacon for our breakfast/lunch which was completely awesome sauce since I've been craving pancakes for about a week now.

At about 5:30 my weekend with the girls ended as we headed back to the Greyhound station for me to start the journey home. Like I said before, I'm gonna have to come back. There is just waaaaay to much to do and so little time to do it in. Next time though, I'm going to drive or fly. I don't care how expensive it is.

Our bus from Philly to Pittsburgh and then Pittsburgh to Columbus was completely packed. Not comfortable at all. I got about 2 hours of sleep. However, once in Columbus they split us into two groups and I got to be part of the lucky group. Lucky group being the one's who got to ride one of Greyhound's new buses. Leather seats, more leg room, wireless internet & plug in's for charging. Can you say awesome? And it isn't crowded at all! I can only hope it stays that way when we get to Cincinnati... but I kinda doubt it.

I'm wanting some food about now. I think I might break out the cookies in my bag.

Looking forward to getting home and being able to sleep. I need sleep, gotta work tomorrow.

On Thursday, after a day of subbing, I'll be on the road once more heading down to Corbin. My roomie from college is getting married so I gotta be there for the bachelorette party and then the wedding. I've gotten her the cutest gift. I hope she likes it.

I'm looking forward to having some time with my bestie [livejournal.com profile] aubreys_master on Sunday. We're gonna see Thor and grab some dinner before I finish heading home.

In other news, my boy is coming to visit me!!! I pick him up from the airport on June 21st and he'll be staying with me the whole week. Guess this will be the do or die time when we figure out if it'll really work. I'm keeping my fingers crossed because I really like him.

Chris comes in the week that my online class ends. I hate my online class. I'm sure it would be different if I liked the subject but... Major Black Writers just does nothing for me. Course if I tell people that they think I'm racist. That's not it at all. The majority of the subject matter just doesn't interest me. The class also seems really unorganized. I don't know if that's the prof's or TA's fault. A guy in my class emailed me about a couple of issues he was having thinking I was the TA, I'm guessing because I post more than she does. In any case, I'll be glad when it's over.

And so... you are updated on my life.
