Church dress VS. Party dress
Jul. 3rd, 2011 10:05 am“But is it really fair to either of you for you to settle on a church dress when somewhere out there, there's a party dress waiting for you? Someone who makes you feel like the only person on earth when they look at you? Someone who makes your heart smile? Someone who makes you feel like anything and everything would be better if you did it with them than without?” -

Well, I figure its about time for a journal update. There for awhile I was really consistent and then I got busy with other stuff. Anyway, let me catch up up on my life.
My online class ended last week, thank goodness. I hope in the future if I have to take another online class it won't be anything like this last one. It was just so unorganized, had the dumbest assignments, and the TA said she would reply to emails within 24 hours... I usually had to wait about 3 days. Of course, it didn't help matters that I wasn't interested in the subject matter at all.
I finished my entry for the "Just A Kiss Contest" on ff.net. So far I've gotten "that's sad!", "I feel so bad for Seth!" and "I hate Jacob!"... I do believe I did well hahaha. Read my entry here.
My college roomie's wedding was beautiful...and fast. Fastest wedding I've ever been to (seriously, like 15 min) but I got lots of pretty pictures. I wish them all the best. I'll totally kick the groom's ass if he hurts her.
Thor was awesome... if only for how gorgeous Chris... what's his face was. I feel like I would have really liked Loki if he had played a bigger part. I feel dumb saying that since he was the main villain but he just didn't shine the way a awesome villain should. I wish they had shown him using more of his magic. In any case I look forward to seeing the next movie with.
Some of you already know but for the rest, it didn't work out with my boy. He came to visit for a week and while it was fun it just felt like friendship between us. There wasn't any spark. When he would put his arm around me he would rub his fingers in small circles and it was so... annoying. It was the same when his hand was on my leg. Maybe its just me but it felt like he was implying more than I was ready for. I also didn't expect him to be so shy. Around my mom and other people yeah, but not me. We'd been online friends for almost 5 years and a couple for just over 1. I understand its different meeting a online friend in person... maybe I was just expecting to much. Anyway, at the end of the week I told him I thought we made better friends. I told him I wanted to stay friends but was worried he wouldn't want to, then the other night he IMed me and asked if I wanted to play Scrabble. It was still a little awkward but I think its a step in the right direction.
I've been catching up on my writing and reading since my online class ended. I still have a ways to go but at least I'm on my way. I have a lot more drabbles and one-shots coming my reader's ways. I've almost met my half-way point on my reading goal for this year. When I do I'll post an entry of the titles I've read thus far. My reviews will wait for my Book End Review at the end of the year.
Well it's 10am now and time for me to get to church. After church my mom and I have decided to have a relaxing day of laying in and out by the pool. I'm hardcore looking forward to that. The sunburn I'm sure to get... not so much. The tan that comes after the sunburn? Hell yes! :D
To all my friends in the USA, have a safe and happy Independence Day!
