“Do you have any ideas for a Christmas present for your sister?” Jasper asked, looking over at his little love as he pulled into a shopping center in Seattle. “And should we go ahead and pick up something for the baby while we're out...?”
He frowned in thought for a moment. “Really...Leah's the only one I can figure out what to get...everyone else is so easy to shop for....” He sighed softly. “Do you have this sort of trouble shopping for her?”
Seth nodded, his frown copying Jasper’s. “She’s always been adamant about being happy with what she had. And now she has Emmett, who gets her anything she could want, so it’s even harder. Last year… I saved up and got her this bracelet I saw her looking at once. She loved it, but hardly ever wears it cause it would break if she suddenly had to phase.”
“So jewelry's out,” Jasper replied with a nod, idly wondering what Emmett and Leah would do about wedding rings, but he shrugged the thought off, needing to focus on thinking about what to get the woman.
“I really hope I surprise her with the dance at the wedding. If someone could get a picture of us dancing together we could get a nice frame to put it in…would that work?” Seth questioned.
“That's actually a good idea,” Jasper replied, grinning. “There's a little craft store here Esme likes to go to. Perhaps they have picture frames.”
Seth smiled. “Let’s check there then. After that we can look at things for the baby and maybe find Leah something else along the way. Oh and we need to get a clock for downstairs.”
“Mhm. A clock would be helpful,” Jasper agreed, laughing softly.
Seth dug a list out of his pocket. “This is what I was thinking for everyone else, what do you think?” Seth handed Jasper the list for him to look over.
Jasper looked over the list, noticing that Seth had thought to get something for Alice and Rosalie as well. Bella's name was even on the list as well as Jacob and two best friends that hung around the house (but luckily had not imprinted on anyone). “This is really good.”
Seth smiled. “Great! Shall we?”
“We shall. We have a full day of shopping ahead of us,” Jasper said, handing the list back to Seth before he opened his door. “Best get started now.”
Seth nodded and followed Jasper out of the car and up onto the sidewalk. Both walked with their hands in their pockets so they wouldn’t be tempted to take the others. They started at the craft store, finding the perfect picture frame for the picture Seth wanted to give Leah. After finding the picture frame they went their separate ways for a bit, just wondering around the store to see if anything jumped out at them. Jasper found Seth after twenty minutes of looking back in the picture frame aisle only now he was looking at photo albums.
“Photo albums?” Jasper questioned as he fingered one of the books, looking at his younger lover.
Seth ran his hand over the leather bound one in his hand. “For my mom,” he said quietly. “Since I’m pretty sure she’s not coming to the wedding now.”
Jasper nodded slowly, immediately understanding. “I think it's perfect for her,” he replied softly. “I'm sure...even though she doesn't like Emmett; she still wants to see her only daughter's wedding. You know?”
“Yeah,” Seth agreed as he settled on the one in his hand. “I think she’ll really like this. It holds up to two hundred pictures so we’ll have to be sure to take that many, if not more.”
Jasper snorted softly at that. “Did you forget that Alice's coming to the wedding? We'll be lucky to get less than a thousand,” he pointed out seriously.
Seth laughed. “To true, when is she coming in?”
“Within the next few days,” Jasper replied. “Her, Rosalie, and the Denali coven are coming together.”
“…And Tanya is the leader of that one right?” Seth questioned as they went to pay for the items.
“Mhm,” Jasper hummed in agreement. “She used to have the hots for Edward, but that was before Jacob.”
Seth chuckled. “And I’m hoping any drama over that was settled when he and Jacob went to Alaska.”
“If not then the weeks leading up to the wedding will be interesting,” Jasper replied with a grin.
“Oh yeah… you don’t have any past lovers, Alice not included, that may try to cause drama do you?”
“I don't and surprisingly neither does Edward. Tanya was just hopeful. Edward never gave into or encouraged her advances,” Jasper replied.
“Well that’s a relief, not that I wouldn’t fight anyone who dare come near you that way, I’d just rather avoid it if it wasn’t needed.”
Jasper laughed at that. “You wouldn't have to worry about that, not because I have anyone else out there, but because no one could make me turn away from you.”
Seth grinned, his happiness filling Jasper. “Where to now?” He asked, changing the subject.
“Lunch?” Jasper asked, looking over at his shifter as he gathered what they had bought at this first store. “...or brunch as it were...it's not quite lunch yet.”
“Mm… I think we can hit one more store before lunch,” Seth answered.
Jasper nodded. “Alright. Let's go to the clothes store then and pick up Alice's and Rosalie's gifts.”
Once they were in the clothing store Seth went off to find the gifts he had in mind. He thought Jasper was doing the same but Jasper was actually buying things for Seth. Seth had said to wait until Christmas and his birthday… well Jasper hadn’t completely waited until then but he was taking full advantage of the days for gift giving.
As he was carrying the clothes to check out he had found a piece of jewelry Esme would like and he simply could not resist getting it. He continued up to the front and paid for the clothes before taking them out to the car, all in the hope of Seth not finding out about it.
Going back into the store he followed Seth’s scent and watched him looking at a dress for Alice. It looked like he couldn’t decide between the red and the green. Seth turned when he felt Jasper’s eyes on him.
“Which one?” He asked.
“Red,” Jasper answered simply. He knew his ex lover would agree wholeheartedly if only because of the color of her hair matching the color of the dress.
Seth nodded and put the green dress back. “This is the right one for Rosalie right? I’m so horrible at shopping for clothes…” Seth held up the shirt he had gotten for the blonde vampire.
Jasper nodded in agreement. “That's just fine,” he replied.
“Great! Let’s get out of here before you insist on buying me more stuff.”
Luckily Jasper was a master at hiding his emotions so he didn't laugh. He didn't even act sheepish as he and the teenager walked back out to his car. Seth's Christmas' gifts safely locked away in the trunk.
---
After Seth had eaten his lunch in the food court they went back to shopping. The stores were starting to get more crowded now that it was getting later in the day. By supper time they had found everyone’s gifts except something else for Leah and the stuff for the baby. Seth scratched his head as they sat on the benches in the middle of the shopping center.
“Why does my sister have to be the hardest person to shop for? And what do we get her?”
Jasper chuckled softly, sitting next to the shifter. “I dunno, what does she like?”
“Emmett, the baby, me, making sure everyone she cares about is safe, the color of the ocean after a storm, the smell of the forest after a big rain,” Seth listed.
Jasper snorted softly. “A family picture. A gallon of paint. And air freshener?” He replied in a teasing voice before he shook his head.
Seth laughed. “The family picture wouldn’t be such a bad idea if everyone were here… but they aren’t.” Seth’s eyes roamed around the shopping areas as he bit his lip in thought. “I know we said no jewelry but… what about a simple gold chain? If we get it big enough then she can put her wedding band on it and never have to take it off, even when phased.”
Jasper nodded. “It's a better idea than a gallon of paint and air freshener. Some thing tells me Leah wouldn't get the joke,” he replied, laughing softly.
“I don’t think so either,” Seth agreed chuckling. They stood and went to the jewelry store in sight. The chain Seth had in mind wasn’t hard to find and wasn’t that expensive since it was just a plain chain. After they left the store Seth pulled Jasper into a little hidden alcove and kissed him gently. “Thanks for all this Jazz.”
Jasper smiled at the gentle kiss. “You're welcome. I'm glad it made you so happy,” he replied honestly, his fingers brushing over the boy's cheek.
Seth wrapped his arms around Jasper’s waist and cuddled against him for a moment. “I’ll be even happier when we get home…” He glanced up and Jasper saw a wicked gleam in his eye.
Jasper laughed aloud at that and leaned down to press another chaste kiss to his love's lips. “I bet you will,” he replied.
“Let’s go get that clock so we can get home.”
“Impatient?” Jasper asked as he walked out of the alcove, knowing his little love was following him closely.
“Just a little,” Seth answered with a grin.
“It's a long drive back home,” Jasper pointed out.
Seth pouted. “Guess we’ll just have make a pit stop along the way.”
Jasper snickered softly at that. “You must be really impatient.”
“Only cause I know what is to come,” Seth answered. “And how much fun it will be.”
“Waiting for it will make it better once we get to it,” Jasper pointed out in a factly tone with a grin.
“But in the time spent waiting we could have had twice the fun.”
Jasper could only nod in agreement. “True,” he replied.
Seth smiled and bumped his shoulder against Jasper’s affectionately as they went into a store that sold all different kinds of clocks and pictures. After an hour they left the store with five pictures to bring some life to their walls in the basement and two clocks, one electronic and the other that was battery powered that would hang on the wall somewhere.
“You know what we never did Jazz?” Seth questioned as they carried everything to the car.
Jasper blinked and frowned in thought. He wasn't aware that they had forgotten to do anything. “What?”
“We never went out to play in the snow or make snow cream.”
The vampire laughed aloud at that. “You're right,” he agreed. “We can do that when we get home or tomorrow.”
“Yes!” Seth cheered. “Tomorrow, there’s supposed to be another storm coming in tonight so there will be fresh snow.”
Jasper laughed at his little love's enthusiasm. “Perfect.”
---
When they got home Jasper made sure to only let Seth carry things that he had seen him buy. While Seth was taking the pictures downstairs Jasper hid everything else he had bought for the boy in an extra bedroom upstairs. Once he was sure everything was hidden he went back downstairs to help Seth finish bringing everything in. Seth wanted to start wrapping everything that night so that they could be placed under the Christmas tree that Edward and Jacob were getting for the living room the next day.
“It's a good thing Esme had extra wrapping paper,” Jasper replied, nearly knee deep in wrapped boxes. “Even better that you actually know how to wrap presents. Alice always did it.”
Seth laughed. “It’s always a good skill to have. Leah taught me when I was little so that we could be sneaky about what we got mom and dad for whenever.”
Jasper chuckled at that. “You'll have to teach me?”
Seth nodded and handed him a box, something for the baby, to try. The younger explained, demonstrating each step, of how to wrap a present. Once he had shown Jasper he undid everything he had done (without tape) and then sat back to watch his imprint try.
Jasper followed every step and found out, for the first time, that there was something he just...couldn't get perfect. “At least it's covered...” he replied softly, looking at his lover.
Seth snickered and handed him another box. “Practice makes perfect, you take the bigger one’s, they are easier than small ones.”
Jasper nodded as he started on another, bigger box. The two carrying on in a quiet comfort as they worked through all of the gifts (except what Jasper had gotten Seth) they had bought that day.
“Oh! Here’s the clock for beside the bed!” Seth exclaimed after he had finished wrapping his last gift, except for the photo album which needed pictures put in it and Leah’s picture frame. He opened the box and pulled the clock out, standing he went over and placed the clock on the table that stood at the head of his side of the bed and plugged it in. “What time is it?”
Jasper checked his watch. “Almost ten,” he answered. “Good thing you don't have school tomorrow or else you'd have to go to bed...instead of do other things.”
Seth grinned as he set the clock’s time and then looked over at Jasper as he lay down on his stomach, his chin resting on his folded arms. “Other things you say? And just what other things do you have in mind?”
Jasper grinned as he stood and walked over to their bed. “I could tell you,” he replied as he sat on the edge of the bed. “But I'd rather show you.”
Seth turned on his side, one hand propping his head up. “Well by all means love… show me.”
Jasper leaned back on his elbows, smiling at his lover. “Then why don't you come over here?” He asked, grinning as he reached for the teen.
Seth got up on his knees, crawling over Jasper’s legs and up his torso, before stopping his lips just inches from Jasper’s. “I’m here.”
“Why yes you are,” Jasper purred, grinning as his hand tangled in the teen's hair before he leaned up to press their lips together.
Seth sighed into the kiss as his body melted into Jasper’s. Their legs tangled together as they rolled back and forth across the bed, a piece of clothing lost with each turn. Seth moaned as everything pressed together. “God Jazz… you’re so deliciously cold…”
“Feels good, doesn't it?” Jasper asked, his voice laced with lust as he pressed his hips against Seth's, their erections brushing together. “Me pressing against your hot skin.”
“Mhm,” Seth agreed as he bit his lip. “Real good.” Seth slid a hand around the back of Jasper’s neck, bringing him in for another kiss, one he ended by biting Jasper’s lip.
Jasper groaned against Seth's lips, his eyes closing for a moment as his body shook. “Seth!” He moaned.
“I want you so bad Jasper,” Seth whispered against his lips. “I can think of a couple of places you could press against my hot skin.”
“Oh yeah?” Jasper murmured, pressing his lips against Seth's chastely. “Why don't you tell me?”
“Well one is unmentionable… since we aren’t allowed to do that yet… but you’ve been pretty close with a sweet spot you found down there. The other…” Seth kissed Jasper again. “Is my mouth of course.”
Jasper hummed softly, smirking at that. “I like the sound of that.”
Seth grinned. “Then let me please you even more.” Seth kissed his way down Jasper’s jaw line, chest and stomach (giving each sweet spot a good nip), before he stroked Jasper’s erection once. This action drew the precum out which Seth licked off.
The vampire's hands tangled in the younger's hair, tugging it gently as his arched into Seth's mouth, needing to feel more of the teenager's heat against his cold skin.
Seth obliged his lover, taking as much of the hardened flesh into his mouth that he could. Up and down, over and over, changing his pace every now and then as he worked to bring Jasper closer to the edge. Seth let his tongue run along the head of Jasper’s erection to find the sweet spot that was hidden there.
“That's it, baby...” Jasper moaned, his eyes half lidded as his bucked into the Seth's mouth, unable to resist the urge anymore. “Keep going. Don't stop.”
Humming his agreement Seth continued to suck and lick as Jasper moved his hips. One hand went to Jasper’s stomach where he stroked the sweet spot by Jasper’s belly button while the other went under the elder to see if he had the same spot just behind his balls.
Jasper cried out in surprise as his lover's fingers touched both spots. “Seth!” He cried out again, his body quaking as pleasure flooded his system, his orgasm pushing closer.
Seth would have grinned had his mouth not been full. Instead he just touched the spots again while running his tongue over the current third spot on Jasper’s cock.
That did it for Jasper. He came with a single cry of his lover's name, arching his hips sharply.
Seth swallowed and licked his lover clean before crawling back up Jasper’s body. “You know… I really love the way you say my name.”
Jasper grinned up at the teen. “I love the way you say mine,” he murmured in response as his hands ran along the boy's sides.
“Mm…” Seth hummed, his eyes falling closed at the feeling of Jasper’s cold fingers on his heated skin. He gasped when one of Jasper’s hands wrapped around his erection. “Jasper…”
“I was getting there my impatient wolf,” Jasper snickered softly, giving his lover's erection a gentle squeeze before he leaned up, pressing their lips together.
Seth leaned into the kiss before biting Jasper’s lip. “Faster,” he murmured.
Jasper's hand moved over his lover's cock, pumping and stroking it. “How's that?”
“Perfect,” Seth sighed, moving his hips just off time with Jasper’s hand to get more friction.
Jasper watched the pleasure dancing across the teen's features as he drew closer and closer to his release. He relished in the knowledge that it was him (and it would always be him) who caused those looks and emotions he felt. “You're so beautiful...” he said softly, leaning up to press feather light kisses along the teen's jaw.
Seth gasped as Jasper paused and sucked on the sweet spot that rested below his ear. “I think you’re the beautiful one,” the teen replied as he glanced down at Jasper.
“Oh no, babe,” Jasper replied as he laid back against the bed. “I've got nothing on you.”
“Yeah?” Seth whimpered softly as Jasper’s thumb brushed over the head of his cock. “And what makes me so beautiful?”
“Oh everything about you is beautiful,” Jasper replied softly, watching his little love as he continued moving his hand. “Your heart, your mind...” He paused, smirking. “And, of course, your looks.”
Seth smiled softly at that as he bit his lip again. “Un…Jazz…almost there.”
“Almost?” Jasper questioned, moving his hand faster, his thumb brushing against the very same spot Seth had discovered on him. “Almost isn't close enough, baby.”
The moment Jasper’s thumb brushed against that spot Seth’s hands tightened on Jasper’s shoulders. He came hard, strands of cum clinging to Jasper’s hand and stomach. Seth buried his face in Jasper’s neck as he panted.
The vampire held the teen against him, gently caressing the teen's back, just enjoying holding the younger boy.
Seth placed a kiss to the skin under his lips. “You never disappoint,” he murmured with a grin.
Jasper grinned. “I don't aim to,” he replied. “I always hit where I intend too...unless, of course, it has to do with wrapping Christmas presents. Then I fail horribly.”
“And cooking,” Seth added as he chuckled. “You said you couldn’t cook.”
“That too,” Jasper replied with a laugh. “But I couldn't cook when I was alive either.”
Seth laughed as he reached for a tissue on the bedside table to clean Jasper with. Once his lover was clean Seth lay beside him, his free hand running his fingers through Jasper’s hair. “I love you.”
“I love you too,” Jasper answered, the words flowing easily out of his mouth and his heart swelling with the emotion, basking in the love radiating from the teenager.
---
Almost two weeks later, the day that was supposed to be Seth’s last day of school before winter break, Forks was hit with the biggest snow storm yet. Five inches of fresh white powder greeted Seth when he went upstairs for breakfast. Food completely forgotten he went back downstairs and jumped on Jasper.
“It snowed!” He exclaimed. “Like, a lot! Can we go play in it? We keep saying we’re going to and don’t.”
Jasper had been reading, resisting the subtle changes he noticed in Seth's scent, and lounging against his futon when Seth came barreling down the stairs and wound up in his lap. It took him a moment to catch up with his lover's excitement (the emotion was baring down on him, making him slightly giddy). “What about breakfast?” He asked softly, setting his book aside before his hands rested against Seth's hips.
“I can eat later,” Seth insisted. “Please?” Seth gave Jasper his best puppy dog eyes.
Jasper heaved a sigh without thinking, almost immediately his senses were clouded with a deliciously musky scent that had only been growing stronger over the past few days. He didn't understand the change and he hadn't thought to ask about it. All he knew was the scent made it harder for him to resist the urges he had kept carefully pushed back.
It took him a moment to recover, but when he did he smiled. “I suppose so, but only for a little awhile. You need to eat.”
Seth rolled his eyes but grinned happily as he stood and offered Jasper a hand up. Seth couldn’t tell that anything about his scent was changing. He only knew that Jasper had gotten just slightly rougher in bed the night before… but he wasn’t complaining, in fact he had quite enjoyed it.
Jasper took the offered hand, allowing Seth to help him to his feet before he pulled the boy into his arms and buried his nose in his neck, unable to fight the urge to smell the teen again. He was hard pressed to choke back the groan that bubbled up, but he couldn't stop the sigh of longing from escaping his lips.
Seth wrapped his arms around Jasper’s waist out of habit. “Jazz?” He questioned curiously. “What’s wrong?”
Jasper lifted his head and looked down at the shifter. “Your scent...not that it's wrong...it's different. I can't explain it. But there's nothing wrong,” he replied, offering the younger a small smile.
“My scent?” Seth murmured, ducking his head down to smell his shoulder. “I can’t smell anything different. But… if there’s nothing wrong with it then I wouldn’t worry about it.”
“I'm not...at least not yet,” Jasper replied. If Seth's smell kept getting more enticing he didn't know how long he'd be able to keep himself in control.
“We can talk to Carlisle when he gets home tonight?” Seth suggested.
“I don't know what he'd be able to do...” Jasper answered, shaking his head slowly before he took a step back. “Come on. Let's go play in the snow.”
Seth’s excitement overtook him again, the change in his scent gone from Seth’s mind. “Yeah! Let’s go!” He took Jasper’s hand and they went upstairs. Stepping outside Seth removed his pajama pants and tied them to his leg. He winked at Jasper before phasing.
Jasper's eyes lingered over Seth's naked form, immediately wishing for him to phase back into a human once a huge sandy blond wolf scampered in the front yard, playing in the snow drifts.
Seth jumped into a large snow drift, burying his nose in the snow sniffing and sorting out the different scents that came with a fresh snow. Noticing Jasper still standing by the door Seth went over to him and nudged his hand with his big head. Seth whined looking up at Jasper.
He couldn't resist the young wolf. He gave him a smile before leaving the porch to play with his lover in the snow.
Over the next hour they played a game of cat and mouse in the woods. First Seth chased Jasper and once the wolf had caught him the tables turned. Eventually they busted through a large snow drift that let them into their meadow. Seth barked happily as he looked around at the place covered in snow.
Jasper waded through the snow, watching his lover with an adoring smile on his face.
Seth phased back, the fact that he was standing nude in the middle of nearly eight inches of snow didn’t even cross his mind. “Jazz… it’s so beautiful! I mean… I thought it was beautiful at the end of summer but this… this is just wow!”
Jasper hungrily drank in the sight of his lover, his hands clenched into fists at his sides, itching to touch the bare tanned skin before him. His resolve was becoming less and less as he stepped forward, inching closer to the teenager. Rational thought was leaving him. Keeping his distance wasn't appealing anymore, though something in the back of his mind warned him against getting closer. But he had to. He had to touch the younger boy.
Seth was about to turn to Jasper when his lover’s arms wrapped around him from behind. He gasped at the feeling of Jasper’s arousal pressing into his backside. Jasper had buried his face against Seth’s neck, taking in his scent deeply. It was only normal for him to react to Jasper’s arousal by pressing back into him.
Jasper groaned lowly as his hands slid to Seth’s hips, pressing them back into his own as he ground into Seth, all the while he greedily inhaled the boy's scent, his lips pressing against his heated skin.
Seth matched Jasper’s groan, feeling his own arousal growing with each bump and grind. He wanted to turn and capture Jasper’s lips but Jasper’s hands held him in place. Seth didn’t know it but that scent that had been driving Jasper crazy earlier was only becoming stronger as his arousal heightened.
Jasper couldn't believe it. Somehow the scent was becoming stronger. It was the only thing he could smell and it was chipping away at his control. He wanted...no, he needed to be buried within the boy's warmth. And this time he didn't mean his mouth. Oh no. He wanted to be inside of the shifter. He wanted to feel the burning heat that resided within. And no longer was there a little voice in the back of his head reminding him that Seth was still young. They had to wait. No. Now the little voice was egging him on. Demanding that Seth be fucked and soon.
Seth would be lying if he said he wasn’t surprised when Jasper turned him and then pushed him down into the snow. Jasper’s mouth claimed his, tongue thrusting deep into his mouth. Seth moaned not even noticing the snow melting under his heated skin. He almost didn’t notice Jasper’s hands going to his own belt and pants, undoing the clasp and button frantically. Something about that action seemed off…
With his cock solid and cold in his hand, Jasper broke the kiss and sat up, staring down at his little lover with a predatory gleam in his eye as he stroked his erection once before both hands grasped Seth's upper thighs, spreading his legs wide before he settled in between them.
Something was very off with this. Jasper had spread his legs before, but that had been to only get a better angle while giving oral. He had never positioned himself like this before. He couldn’t… no, Jasper knew he was too young, he had said it hundreds of times now. Seth’s eyes widened when he felt Jasper’s cold finger there, tracing around the pucker of skin before inserting one finger. Seth wanted to tell Jasper to stop right then but when he opened his mouth a moan escaped instead. This seemed to only encourage Jasper as he inserted a second finger and started to stretch Seth with a scissoring motion.
Seth finally came to his senses and he started to wiggle under Jasper trying to get away. “No Jazz,” he stated, a bit breathlessly.
Seth said one thing, but his emotions said something very different. Jasper didn't know what to believe, but when he looked up at his lover's worried expression he stopped dead. His fingers still buried deeply as he slowly came back to himself. “Oh god...” he whispered softly, finally realizing what he had almost done. How far he had almost went.
In an instant he had put a manageable distant between he and his lover. He ran a shaky hand through his hair and looked back at his little love, seeing him sprawled out against the snow, pushing himself up to come after him. He wouldn't let that happen. He needed to be away from Seth. Far away. As soon as Seth was on his feet, calling out to him, Jasper disappeared into the woods. Too fast for Seth to follow him, even in his wolf form.
“Jasper!” Seth yelled. “DAMNIT!”
---
Jacob and Edward were sitting in the living room, barely watching a movie when Seth came in dressed only in his soaked pajama pants. Edward heard his thoughts before he saw the younger wolf’s expression.
“Jasper left,” Seth stated.
Jacob turned to face Seth, frowning when he saw the down right miserable look on the shifter's face. “What do you mean he left?” He asked, but never got an answer because Edward decided to interrupt him right at that moment.
“Do you want me to go talk to him?” Edward asked, having seen what had happened in the teen's memories.
“Please?” Seth asked. “I… I don’t mind if he leaves you know… I’d just like to know why beforehand.”
Edward hummed in agreement, leaning over to press a kiss to his confused mate's temple before he rose. “I'll be back soon,” he said to them both before leaving the house.
Jacob blinked. “What happened?” He asked, turning to Seth.
Seth came and sat down on the couch with Jacob. “It was so weird! He just kept smelling me!”
“Smelling you?” Jacob question, frowning for a moment.
“Yeah, smelling. He’d put his nose to my neck and take a deep breath. He’s done it before but never that deep of a breath and never that many times. Jazz said my scent was changing this morning… but I can’t tell any difference,” Seth said.
“Oh. Edward's mentioned something about my scent changing before,” Jacob replied, sighing heavily as he thought back on it.
“Really? Guess maybe it’s just a shifter thing then?”
“Maybe. I don't know. But Edward did point out that it hasn't happened since I got knocked up,” Jacob replied.
“Weird… did he say how often it happened before you got pregnant?” Seth questioned.
“No, but I could ask.”
“You should.” Seth crossed his arms over his chest as he pouted. “I don’t like Jasper just leaving suddenly because of my scent changing.”
“Well...Edward gets very...” Jacob paused, trying to think of a polite way to say this. “...aggressive when it happens. And horny...like you wouldn't believe...”
“…Jazz has been like that…”
“Really?” Jacob replied before humming thoughtfully. “What were you two doing before he ran away?”
Seth’s blush was enough to clue Jacob in. “I was looking at our meadow covered in snow… and then there he was grinding into me.”
Jacob watched Seth for a moment before sighing softly. “That wasn't everything was it?” He asked before scooting closer to the younger teen. “You know, Seth, you can tell me anything. I'm trying to help you here, but I can't do that if you keep things to yourself.”
Seth’s blush deepened. “I know… still doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable.” Seth glanced at Jacob and sighed. “Okay… okay…” Seth took a deep breath and then told Jacob everything, because nothing was kept from his alpha.
Jacob hummed thoughtfully. “Maybe he was ashamed? You told him to stop and he almost didn't...” he pointed out before sighing softly.
Seth shrugged. “Am I awful to say that I wouldn’t have been upset if he kept going?” He questioned softly. “I know I said no but… that’s only because I know how he would feel after.”
“No. That's not awful. You have presence enough to consider his feelings when he couldn't. You should be proud of yourself,” Jacob answered.
A small smile came to Seth’s lips. “Thanks Jake. Oh, sorry for making Edward leave.”
“Don't worry about it. We didn't have any plans...yet, if you had been ten minutes longer...then you might've walked in during something you wouldn't have wanted to see,” Jacob replied, leaning back against the couch.
Seth rolled his eyes in amusement. “So I guess you’re starting to feel better?”
Jacob chuckled at that. “Still get sick, but not as much as I used to.”
“Well that’s good at least. I have to say that’s one thing I’m not going to be looking forward to. Mom said that she didn’t have morning sickness with me… so maybe I’ll get lucky and that’ll pass onto me.”
“Hopefully it'll be a long while before you find out,” Jacob replied. “The last thing we need is another pregnant shifter driving these vampires nuts,” he laughed.
Seth laughed too. “Yeah yeah… don’t worry it’ll be at least five years before I’m ready for a kid of my own. I promise.”
“Good because I'd hate to have to kick Jasper's ass for getting you knocked up,” Jacob said, laughing.
“Like Edward would let you in your condition.”
“I'd bribe Edward with sex to kick his ass for me,” Jacob replied.
Seth punched Jacob in his arm. “You’re gonna be a pain in the ass uncle for my kids huh?”
“Oh yes,” Jacob replied grinning broadly.
“Well lucky for yours I’m going to be an awesome uncle!” Seth told him.
Jacob laughed at that. “I think they'll have an awesome family all around.”
Seth nodded in agreement. If anything their children would be spoiled absolutely rotten by their vampire uncles and aunts. “Well I’m going to change and then make some lunch. Are you hungry?” Seth questioned as he stood.
“Technically, no. I already ate. But you know me. I can always go for more.”
“Always. Anything I should avoid today?”
“Hot dogs...” Jacob replied, making a face. “The baby does not do hot dogs.”
Seth snickered. “Alright then, no hot dogs.” He left the living room and went downstairs to change into a pair of jean shorts and a worn flannel shirt that had the sleeves cut off. He paused after changing, taking in a deep breath of Jasper’s scent which was the strongest scent here other than his own. Seth shook his head, Edward would bring Jasper back, his scent wouldn’t fade from these rooms.
Returning back upstairs he went to the kitchen and started cooking five boxes of macaroni and cheese. Jacob came to keep him company while he cooked. “Jasper burns water,” Seth stated grinning. “I haven’t seen it for myself but he told me.”
Jacob snickered at that. “Edward's a good cook,” he replied. “But Esme still has him beat.”
“I think there are few that can beat Esme,” Seth agreed. “Hey Jake, what are you getting Edward for Christmas?”
“Besides this?” Jacob replied, rubbing his stomach before laughing softly. “Actually. I have no fricken clue. What in the hell do you get the vampire that has every fucking thing?”
“That’s what I’m thinking. I could get Jazz a book but that doesn’t seem like enough you know?”
Jacob hummed in agreement. “I know what you mean. I thought about getting Edward a CD or something...but, he's got like...thousands...” He shook his head before looking at Seth. “What about if you get Jasper a special book...one that means something to him. Like maybe one he liked when he was human?”
“That would be cool! But how would I find out what that was without making him suspicious… and how would I pay for it without telling him, something like that can’t be cheap.”
“Let me talk to Edward. He'll probably have some ideas on the books and he'd probably pay you to help with remodeling the cottage,” Jacob replied.
Seth smiled brightly. “That would be great! Thanks Jake.” Seth finished making their lunch and divided the macaroni and cheese into two bowls. Grabbing spoons from the drawer he brought Jacob’s bowl over to the table and set it in front of him. “Hope the baby likes my cooking.”
Jacob grinned at that, picking up the spoon. “Me too. Cause I don't want to spend the entire afternoon hunched over the toilet...got plans with Edward later on tonight if you know what I mean.”
Seth rolled his eyes as he ate. “Yes… we all know your plans with Edward every night.”
Jacob blinked, frowning for a moment. “Oh! Wait! No! Not that! We've got a date tonight,” he replied quickly.
“Oh. Where are you guys going?” Seth questioned.
“Dinner and a movie...maybe spending a little 'alone time' in our special place,” Jacob replied in between bites.
“See? I told you we all knew what your plans with Edward were,” Seth teased.
Jacob laughed at that. “Yeah, well, at least it won't be in the house so you won't have to suffer through it. Be happy. Going to the clearing was my idea.”
“I do appreciate it,” Seth told him. They finished their lunch and Seth washed the dishes leaving them out to dry before he and Jacob went back to the living room. Jacob was doing his best to distract Seth from the fact that Jasper wasn’t there and it seemed to be working well. When Esme returned from the store she put them to work decorating the Christmas tree that Jacob and Edward had brought in the day before.

Pairings: Jasper/Seth, Edward/Jacob & Emmett/Leah.
“Perfect.”
“DAMNIT!”
