I know if your from the US you remember exactly where you were the moment you heard about the Two Towers being hit in New York. I know I do. I was in Science 9 with Mr. Millanti. Our second teacher came running in and said, "Something's hit the towers!' A few moments after the bell rang and everyone in the hallways ran to their next class to see what was happening. My math teacher already had it on and said, 'In light of these events class in canceled.' We all sat and watched in shock and horror as the towers fell. I cried but not as much as one may think. My hands were clasped in front of me and I prayed. Prayed for who? I don't know...the people inside...the people around there...I prayed for their families...and for my family and friends.
You probably would like to know why I bring this up. Well today in Political Science, we watched a moive called "9/11'. It was by two French brother film makers who just happened to be following a rookie fire-fighter around when it happened. On that day one had went with the fire cheif to a routine gas leak check while the other stayed at the firehouse with the rookie.
The one who went was right outside maybe a block away when the first plane struck. After that he spent most of his time with the cheif in the lobby of the second tower. He saw the debire...he saw the bodies fall of those who jumped that day...he was there when the first tower fell. Right there! In the lobby of the second tower!
The other brother who stayed at the firehouse spent that time once the first plane struck trying to get to his brother just to see if he was ok. He would get so far and then have to return only to try again in hopes of finding his brother. After the second tower fell he was sure that his brother was dead.
In the end they were brought together again and didn't let go of each other for almost 10 minutes.
It was a every moving movie. I suggest that if you can stand to watch it again to go and see it.
