Well yesterday was as boring as it gets. Don't get me wrong I only have one class and work study but... yeah. I was extremly tired. Brandon was posed to call me and tell me when he wanted to meet at Fazoli's but he never did... I almost cried. I also came in and slept from 3 until 7, that made me feel better.

I have an English essay to do this weekend that is due on Wed. It's on a social issue that I feel strongly about... my English tutor tried to give me a bunch of ideas, one was homosexuality. I just kinda laughed and looked at her saying, "I'm very liberal, my views are a bit different than most people on this campus." I don't think she understood that I support, I guess that would be the right word, homosexuality. No I am far from going out and trying it but if a person makes you happy then what should it matter if they are the same sex or not? I just can't say that here since this is a Christian college and I could get kicked out for it.

Neway... we finally decided on 'Corpoal Punishment: How Far is to Far?' Meaning spanking and should parents have the right to spank their children, and where does it cross the line into child abuse.

The way I was raised, spanking was not a bad thing. You got it when you did something bad but my parents always reinforced the fact that they loved me no matter what afterward. I did not get spanked much as a child because I was a good girl, most would probably call me a 'goody two shoes' 'stuck up' or 'scaredy cat' actually... I have been called those, oh well. I guess I just have a good consciense.

Anyone want to comment on their position on spanking? It might even end up in my essay... hmmmm.... please?

Yes, I think corporal punishment is a good thing. My 15 year old step son never had a spanking in his life (from his father) but his mother used to beat him. I was not aware of it, anyway, his father now has control and we put up with a lot of bs, but he doesn't push us to the limits anymore. Like your parents, we always make sure we discuss the situation/reasons before and after the spanking/slp. He has definately turned himself around for the better.
