Pairing: Edward/Seth, Jacob/Paul
Prompt: “Don’t you ever dare to imprint, Seth. Don’t you dare.”
Edward leaned against the wall of Seth’s house watching the two wolves walk along the beach. He crossed his arms over his chest with a scowl. Jacob had been his and now he was watching him walk closely with the hot head wolf, Paul. No one could explain why the imprint had taken so long to manifest but now it couldn’t be denied.
Seth popped open a can of soda as he joined Edward leaning against the wall of his house. “You should stop staring. It’s not going to change anything,” he stated.
Edward growled looking over at the younger wolf. “Seth…”
“Edward.”
Edward turned and pinned Seth to the wall, the can of soda falling to the ground. Seth’s head went blank as Edward pinned his hands to the wall on either side of his head. Wide brown eyes stared into Edward’s dark gold ones.
“Don’t you ever dare imprint, Seth. Don’t you dare.”
Seth swallowed and struggled to find his voice for a moment. Finally a small smile worked its way to his lips. “Too late.”

Prompt: For once in your life
Seth followed Edward, like the puppy the pack always said he was, as he ran errands for each member of his family. Given, Edward had invited him to come along. He still didn’t understand it.
Carlisle could have easily picked up the package that had arrived for him at the post office. Esme could have gotten the book she wanted delivered to the house instead of the store (in Seattle where Edward had gone to get it). Rosalie could have picked up her new dress from the seamstress. Emmett could have gotten the parts for his latest project. Alice could have gotten whatever was in that box for Jasper. And Jasper could have gotten himself a new cowboy hat. But no, they had Edward getting everything.
Seth bit his lip as he glanced at Edward as he drove. Edward’s eyes were black; they had been for the past few days. He was worried about the vampire.
Edward sighed. “You don’t have to worry about me Seth. Carlisle has taught me nearly perfect control over my urges.”
“I would still feel better if we went hunting tonight.”
“I can’t, I have to…”
“Screw the family!” Seth exclaimed turning to face Edward. The vampire blinked in surprise and pulled off the side of the road.
“Seth…”
“No! For once in your life do something for you! Screw everyone else!”
Edward stared at Seth for a moment before he leaned forward and captured Seth’s lips. Seth made a surprised sound but didn’t pull back from the kiss. He was actually relaxing into it and starting to enjoy it when Edward pulled away. Seth had never seen Edward look so hungry. “That’s completely for me,” Edward stated.

Prompt: Despite everything
“Quit following me!” Jacob yelled.
“Nope!” Seth replied. “Not until you tell me what’s going on. You never cared when I followed you before. You’ve been gone for a week Jake! I’m worried about you.”
“I can’t tell you Seth.”
“Then I’ll follow you until you can.”
Jacob sighed. Ever since Sam had allowed him to start mingling again Seth had been following him. No matter what Jacob said, no matter what he did… despite everything Seth was there. Jacob glanced over his shoulder and Seth gave him a happy smile. ‘Despite everything… I think he’ll always be there…’ Jacob thought.

Prompt: Who would you call with your last goodbye?
Seth had avoided the pack, avoided Edward, and avoided Jacob for the past week. He had made up his mind. There was no changing it; he wouldn’t give them that chance. His fingers didn’t even shake as he loaded the single bullet into the chamber of the gun.
“You aren’t wanted kid. You aren’t needed.” Paul’s words had hurt but what had hurt worse was the snippets of agreement he had caught from the others as he had run away. What had hurt the most was that Jacob agreed. He had thought Jacob loved him. That’s what he had said after their first time…
Seth gripped his cell phone, a gift from Edward that past Christmas. He was such a stupid kid. He had believed Jacob! No, he wouldn’t cry now. He didn’t need to cry anymore. Seth pressed the #2 and then Send, he brought the phone up to his ear and waited listening to the ring.
“Seth? Long time no hear buddy! Where ya been?” Jacob questioned. His voice was happy. In the background Seth could hear Edward talking to Jasper. That was why Jacob was happy; he was with the two Cullen’s he loved best. Loved more than him. “Seth?”
Seth swallowed hard. “I just…I just wanted to tell you goodbye.” He cursed himself for his voice shaking.
“Goodbye? What are you talking about?” Jacob questioned.
“Just goodbye Jake.” Seth dropped his phone into the sand ignoring it as Jacob called his name. He cocked the gun and held it so the barrel rested against his bottom lip. The metal was cool as it touched his tongue, bitter from the past gunpowder.
“Seth? Seth!”
The beach was quiet except for the waves crashing against the beach and the gunshot that echoed after the trigger was pulled.

Prompt: He had a soothing effect on her
Leah didn’t know how she managed it. She was so angry, so annoyed. But she pushed away the urge to phase. Carefully she closed the door when she really wanted to slam it. The house was quiet and dark telling her that her mother and Seth had already gone to bed.
She avoided the floorboards that creaked when you stepped on them. As quietly as she could she opened the door to Seth’s room. All of her anger melted away at the sight of him. It looked like Seth had tried to wait for her but fallen asleep while reading.
Stepping into his room she avoided the piles of dirty clothes, stacks of books and pieces of notebook paper that was her brother’s homework. Leah shook her head as she gently pushed Seth over in his bed so she could climb in beside him. Closing his book she laid it on the table beside his bed. Seth sighed as he turned and wrapped his arms around her, his head nuzzling her side.
“…Leah…?” He mumbled.
“Shh, yeah it’s me.” She brushed his hair back, tipping his head just enough to press a light kiss to his lips.
“Mm, you okay?”
“Always when I’m with you.”
A smile came to Seth’s lips and she watched as he slipped back into the land of dreams. Yes… there was something about Seth. He always had a soothing effect on her.

It had taken months. Hell, it had been nearly a year before Marcus admitted to himself that Seth had claimed a spot in his heart. But the moment that he had let himself believe it he had felt stronger. More… well not alive, since he hadn’t been that for centuries… but something.
The shifter that Aro had demanded in return for leaving the rest of the pack in peace had slowly gotten used to living in Volterra. It had taken a couple of weeks but he had eventually found the library, Marcus’ sanctuary. Much to his surprise, since he could tell how used the shifter seemed to be to talking, he didn’t. Seth had left him in peace as he struggled to learn Italian so he would be able to read the books in the library. It had been Marcus who finally offered to teach the boy the language.
It was the smile Seth had given him. The moment Seth had given him that smile Marcus saw the connection between them. He hadn’t wanted to believe it at first… but it was undeniable.
Marcus entered Seth’s room, his eyes immediately sneaking out the sleeping boy. He paused, reconsidering this for a moment, waiting until Seth was awake. No. He had come this far. Marcus would do what he had come to do. Going over to the bed he watched Seth sleep for a moment before reaching out and resting a hand on Seth’s shoulder.
“Hm…?” Seth murmured as he blinked sleepily. Bringing a hand up he rubbed his eyes. “Marcus?”
“I’m sorry to wake you but I had something I had to say.”
Seth yawned as he sat up. “It couldn’t have waited til morning?”
Marcus shook his head. “No, it couldn’t wait,” he answered.
“Alright, what is it?”
“Seth…” Marcus took Seth’s hand. “I love you.”

Marcus watched Seth eat the large breakfast buffet that Heidi had brought for him. Having not needing to eat for himself he found it fascinating to watch his younger lover. Seth kept glancing at him and that let Marcus know that his staring was making Seth uncomfortable.
Seth swallowed before he spoke. “Why are you staring at me?”
“I just love watching you eat,” Marcus answered.
Seth raised an eyebrow. “…Why?”
Marcus shrugged. “You just such pleasure out of it… it is similar to the pleasure that crosses your face when-”
“Don’t say it.”
Marcus grinned. He also just loved teasing Seth.

Mornings were Alec’s favorite time of day. He loved watching Embry in those moments before he woke. Watching his lover stretch enticingly… eyes clenching before blinking open sleepily… and then as his lover bolted from the bed to the bathroom to empty the contents of his stomach.
Mornings were not Embry’s favorite time of day. They had once been okay but ever since he had gotten pregnant and morning sickness had settled in… mornings were hell. Food never tasted as good coming back up as it did going in.
However, the cold hand on his back that moved up to his neck pulling his hair back made things a little better. Embry groaned before his stomach heaved again. Alec brushed his free hand over the warm skin of his lover’s back in soothing motions until Embry reached his hand up and flushed the toilet.
Embry glared at Alec as he moved from the toilet to the sink to brush his teeth. Okay, he actually glared at Alec’s reflection but it had nearly the same effect. “I completely blame you for this.”
Alec chuckled as he wrapped his arms around his wolf’s waist. He pressed cold lips to a warm shoulder. “Now, now Em… just think, in a few months we will be woken up by a baby’s cry rather than your morning sickness.”
Embry sighed, fighting a smile. “Maybe then I’ll learn to love mornings.”
