Prompt: Vacations

Alec’s eyes slightly widened as his cell phone rang. He sent an apologetic glance at Aro, Caius and Marcus. The glance was returned with a curious look (Aro), a glare (Caius) and went unacknowledged (Marcus) as he left the room.
Alec flipped his phone open and brought the device to his ear. “I’m in such deep shit now,” he said.
“You forgot to put your phone on silent again didn’t you?” Embry questioned.
“Yes.”
Embry whistled and Alec could just see him shaking his head. “Sorry if you get in trouble because of me.”
“Don’t worry yourself. What did you need?” Alec asked.
“Nothing really, just wanted to hear your voice.”
“Em,” Alec said knowing that wasn’t the only reason Embry had called. “I know there’s something else, what is it?”
“Gosh… I feel so stupid asking now; it seemed like a great idea before I called…”
“Em.”
“Okay! Do you get vacations?”
Alec blinked. “Vacations?”
“Yeah, I wanna go somewhere with you. Let’s go on a vacation.”
Alec felt himself smiling and the love he felt for the other growing with those simple words. “You choose the place and we’ll go. Cost doesn’t matter.”
“Yeah?” Embry sounded excited and Alec loved that sound.
“Email me tonight. I’ll get time off, promise.”
