There's a new Zodiac sign.

Ophiuchus The Serpent Holder.

Ophiuchus is needed because Earth's position has moved from 247 to 266 degrees of the Ecliptic (the center of the plane of the Zodiac Belt). This also means that the Zodiac signs/dates have changed.

Actually, that particular sign has always been around.

What we know as the actual western zodiac is technically "wrong"...those dates are actually pretty much consistant with Vedic astrology, which does correct for the earth axis. In general, Ophiuchus and Scorpio are viewed as one sign in astrology--thus even in Western astrology, you can often find Scorpio people referred to as being born under the "sign of the serpent". (Scorpio actually is associated with 3 different sign glyph animals--the scorpion, the snake, and the eagle.)

It's actually really funny to see Vedic astrologers face off with Western astrologers...especially since when people really identify with their particular signs, they are always one full sign off from the other between the two astrology systems. :)
