Drabble: Wishes Come True

Pairing: Marcus/Seth
Prompt: Midnight
Midnight. The witching hour.
It was a curious time.
Even after all these years that they had been together… Marcus found it to be the most interesting, passionate, curious hour.
Interesting because he and Seth always seemed to have their most in depth discussions at midnight. Passionate… well, Seth was always passionate no matter what time of day… but midnight seemed to be special. And curious because even after all these years without a young child, their youngest was now in her teens, Seth still woke for the midnight feedings their children had been so fond of.
Marcus carded his fingers through Seth’s hair as he slept. He watched the clock, counting down the seconds to midnight. As the clock struck Seth’s eyes opened and he sat up. “There is no little one to feed Seth.”
“I know.”
“Then why do you still wake at midnight?”
Seth blushed as he glanced down at his hands. “You haven’t noticed?”
“Noticed what?”
Seth met Marcus’ eyes and the vampire was nearly overwhelmed by the love that shown in them. “Each of our children; Abrielle, Sarah, Nicolas and Ceri… they were all conceived a time when we made love at midnight. I guess… I keep hoping it’ll happen again.”
Marcus hadn’t noticed this little fact but when he thought about it… it did make sense. He smiled and cupped Seth’s cheek, pulling him in for a sweet kiss. “Are you saying you want another baby my little wolf?”
Seth returned the smile. “If it’s yours always.”
Marcus kissed Seth again, this time with more passion. “Then I’ll do my best to make your wish come true my little wolf.”
