Above the two figures in the meadow the night sky was completely black. Black except for the billions of stars that twinkled above them. It was the night of the new moon and they were out in the middle of nowhere so there was absolutely no light pollution to dim the stars.

A cold breeze blew through the trees that stood some feet away, the caused the tall grasses to sway. Neither of the figures in the meadow were bothered by this breeze. Jasper couldn’t tell much difference between the cold breeze and his own skin. And to Seth the cold breeze felt good on his warm skin.

“And there is Pegasus,” Jasper stated tracing the points of the constellation with his finger.

Seth’s eyebrows furrowed as he tried to see the image. “I don’t see it. Try another.”

Jasper’s golden eyes searched the skies for a simpler image. “Ah here, Cassiopeia, the Queen. She was killed by Perseus after breaking the marriage agreement for him and Andromeda. Poseidon placed her among the heavens, but she is upside down for half the year as punishment for her great vanity,” Jasper explained as he traced the W pattern.

Seth tried, he really did, but he still couldn’t see the constellation. He heaved a loud sigh. “This is pointless! I don’t see any of these stupid constellations. I thought they were supposed to make pictures! It’s just a bunch of dots! What’s the point of constellations anyway?”

Jasper chuckled. “The ancient’s created constellations to help people remember stars used as markers for the seasons. Sailors used the brightest stars to navigate the seas at night; they made sure to remember which was which by creating stories about them.”

“Okay… so it sounds cool… but I still can’t see them!” Seth pouted crossing his arms over his chest.

“Here, maybe I can help.” Jasper moved closer to Seth and easily lifted the wolf so that Seth was now laying flush against him, the wolf’s back against his own chest. Seth’s head rested on his shoulder. Jasper smirked when he felt a spike in Seth’s arousal. “Later my little wolf,” he purred in Seth’s ear.

Reaching down he took hold of Seth’s hand and pointed a finger at the sky. “How is this going to help?”

“Watch your finger Seth.”

So Seth watched. Jasper guided his finger to the points of various constellations. Cassiopeia, Pegasus, Orion, and others. Seth’s eyes widened. “I see it!”

Jasper grinned and pressed a kiss to Seth’s cheek.

“So… Jazz… are there any vampire or wolf constellations?”

Lucky Seth. I've always wanted someone to point out the constellations to me. I've just been about able to find the Big Dipper.
Hmm, is there a Wolf Star? :D

Thanks, I forgot about that one. Ursa Major and Minor are the greater and lesser bear and Cancer is the crab.
