He was a natural at being a wolf. His whole pack said so. While, for the most part, that was a good thing it also had its downsides. Jealousy. That was his downside.
Jacob’s jaw ached from where his teeth had been clenched together tightly. His teeth had been grinding together for the past three hours, ever since he had seen Jasper and Seth looking too cozy in a dark corner of the club his pack had dragged him to for the night. It had taken every ounce of strength he possessed to not march over to that corner and tear the two apart. Only one thing had stopped him.
Seth’s smile. The young wolf had looked so damn happy.
So that is why he was waiting outside the Clearwater house long after Leah and Sue had gone to bed. He was clenching and unclenching his hands when the crunch of gravel caught his attention. Looking up Jacob saw Seth walking toward him, still smiling. Jacob knew that smile wasn’t for him. Especially when Seth noticed him and the smile disappeared.
“What are you doing here Jake?”
“Waiting for you,” Jacob replied standing. “I wanted to know if what I saw tonight made it official that we were broken up.”
Seth blinked at his alpha in confusion. “Broke up? Jake… we were never together.”
Jacob opened his mouth to say something about the few nights they had shared together, the kissing and touching… but Seth shook his head and continued before he could. “You wouldn’t let me get that close, remember?”
Cold settled in Jacob’s stomach at Seth’s words.

guilty of fantasizing? Seth is not the type to deliberately hurt someone.
But then again, if it was not all Jacob's imagination, you wonder how Seth could have mistaken his intentions. Interesting conundrum. *g*
