Drabble: Finding Where I Fit

Fandom: Twilight
Pairing: Jasper/Seth
Prompt: Just Right
It had taken Seth seventeen years to find where he belonged. He had been raised on the reservation, grew up hearing the stories, became part of the pack… but he had never fit in. Especially since he didn’t think the Cullens were that bad.
He hadn’t fit in with the Cullens completely either. He was a wolf and they were vampires. There were always going to be certain tensions and differences. Seth only wanted to be the neutral person between the two but he was always being forced to take sides. He hated it.
But now, after seventeen years, he had found where he fit. Two years after he had imprinted on Jasper they had finally stopped dancing around the fact and crossed that line from being “just friends” to lovers. And that was how he currently found himself tucked under Jasper’s arm as they relaxed on their futon in the basement of the Cullen house while Jasper read to him.
Seth sighed and snuggled deeper into Jasper’s side. Jasper glanced down at his little wolf, his fingers tightening on Seth’s arm. “Something wrong?” He questioned.
“Nope, just thinking.”
“About what?”
“Where I’ve fit over the years. It was never a perfect fit with the pack… or when I stayed with you guys. With the pack it was like I was too much for them. With the Cullens I wasn’t enough.”
“And here?”
Seth smiled up at him. “Here is just right.”
