"Maethor" is Sindarin, a form of Elvish language, that means "warrior".

When the two are put together it means "dark warrior".

When I created this account I was...am still... obsessed with Lord of the Rings. I had found a story on ff.net and was amazed by the author's version of the "Avari". This name was inspired by that.
