My great aunt and great uncle (different sides of the family) both passed away from Alzheimer's in the past few years. I can't listen to this song without thinking about them.
Last August my great aunt "Ki" passed away. We were very close. The first day that I had to go back to work after her funeral I was listening to my iPod and this song came on. By the end of the song I had to pull over because I was crying so hard. And now listening to the video I'm crying again. The last time I saw my aunt she was in the nursing home. She didn't know who my mom and I were when we got there and I spent the better part of an hour holding her hand and crying. When I kissed her forehead when we went to leave her eyes lit up... and she knew me.
She knew me. She knew that I had graduated college and knew that I was her baby girl. God... I miss you Ki.
