The FIRST FIVE PEOPLE to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pair/character of their choosing (as long as they're within my knowledge of fandoms!). In return they HAVE TO POST this in their journal, regardless of ability.
My fandoms can be found in my tags, and pairings I have written for. I can try a new pairing if you like but... :/ Yeah... might be best to stick with what I know.

For as long as he could remember, practicing in front of the mirror sent a secret thrill through him.
*Edit--sorry for random extra words...oops!*

Date: 2010-03-14 04:56 am (UTC)Kaoru stood straighter, a little smirk on his lips. Somehow when he practiced this way... with Hikaru watching... it sent a secret thrill through him. Karou's eyes closed as he started to play, each note filling his body and the air around him.
The younger Hitachiin twin knew the moment he hit a wrong note. He knew because Hikaru sighed. Kaoru frowned as he stopped playing and lowered the violin and bow. Damnit... he had wanted this time to be perfect.
Hikaru approached behind Karou after he had gotten off the bed. He pressed a gentle kiss to the side of his twin's neck as he wrapped his arm's around the other's middle. "You almost had it," he whispered.
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be," Hikaru smiled, his reflection's eyes now catching Kaoru's in the mirror. "C'mon, I know how you can get it."
Hikaru let go of Kaoru and went to his room to get his own violin. Kaoru turned and smiled, he knew this routine. When Hikaru was about a foot away he stopped and they both lifted their violin's, each mirroring the other's action.
In tune they started to play together. Hikaru's eyes were closed but Kaoru was watching his twin. Yes, playing in front of the mirror gave him a certain thrill... but that was only because it was like playing with Hikaru. This was the true thrill.
