Jul. 20th, 2007 12:53 pmI’ve been planning on writing this for about a week but just haven’t gotten around to it. Well here I am now! I’m just sitting here and work having my blue berry muffin, a cherry coke and thinking about random things. Does that set of a warning for anyone who knows me? –giggle-
Well like I said I’ve be planning on doing this but I couldn’t decide whether it should be long or short. If I wasn’t in the mood to write I could sum this up in three words, “I’m really excited!” But, I’m in a writing mood, at least I think I am, so you get a long one. The following shall proceed in no direct order, just whatever comes to my mind at the time.
I GOT A FISH! One of the Siamese Fight Fish, or as we all like to call them at work “betas”. He’s so pretty, his main body is a blue/purple then as you go towards his tail it becomes a bright blue then fades into purple and red. I was originally going to call him “Yap” because of this funny thing he does with his mouth, no it’s not the normal fish thing it’s more like picturing a bull dog sticking his lower jaw out and then barking. It’s really cute to watch. One of the guys I work with calls him “JJ” for Jaws Junior. –shakes head- But actually his name is gonna end up being “Fishy” because when I sweet talk him, yes I sweet talk my fish, that’s what I call him. Meredith, one of the other summer girls, said she would hate to see me with a dog if that is how I talk to a fish. I just told her “I have 6 cats at home, picture that!” But I just realized that it’s only 5 cats since one kinda up and disappeared. –sad- Fishy will be going to school with me, I think we’ll have to find a place for him in the lobby unless Katie and I can find a place for him in our room. At least he won’t be like the DEAD snail that sat out there for THREE weeks because Laura couldn’t throw him away. I bought a vase to put him in while I was in Florida, I also bought some colored stones and a plant for him to play in, amazingly the plant cost the most out everything INCLUDING the fish. Currently he’s staring at me wanting me to pay attention to him I think. I wish I spoke fish that would be nifty. Think about it, about the stories that fish could tell us. Okay don’t think about it.
Last week I was in Florida. I love Clearwater, I wouldn’t want to live there but it’s great to visit. I saw the dolphins in the bay about three or four times and… oh no! I forgot to show Hal’s the pics I took for her! –gasp- Last year when we went to Florida Hallie went with us and fell in love with the pelicans. Well one day I was down at the pool and when I looked over into the bay there were like 15 pelicans all just chill’n in the water. I rushed upstairs to get my camera, came back down and took like 10 pics only three came out really well though. I was very sad that I didn’t have a friend to go with me this year, I had fun but it’s just always better with someone your own age. Kel was gonna go but then her prick of a boss decided to take his vacation that week. –giggle- That caused a giggle fit last night while I was on the phone with Kel, me calling her boss a prick. I got some awesome sunset pics. Oh and a pic of Michael Jordan and Hulk Hogan’s house. I personally like the Hulk’s better, I can’t believe I say that I mean it’s white, but at least it’s not pink like Michael’s. That’s one way I do not want to being like Mike. I hear he has a pretty bad gambling problem…. You know what? Screw Michael Jordan. I don’t even like basketball.
My fave part of the whole week was when we went to St. John’s Pier, there is some debate over that name but I call it that because it sounds cool. There are tons of shops and it’s always a great place to get gifts. I was doing some window shopping and found the greatest t-shirt for me. It has a pirate skull on it and says, “Pirates for Hire, specializing in causing mayhem and madness.” I was thinking of getting Hallie one too but then I saw the perfect shirt for her. It’s black and has a little square on the front that says “Makes you wanna…” and then on the back there are like ten different guitars and under them it says “Go play.” She loved it. Then I found Kel’s gift, I wasn’t sure what she wanted so I texted her. I had a shot glass in my hand and had actually already bought it before she texted me back with, “I dunno… get me a shot glass.” I started cracking up. Then I found April’s shirt. It’s blue and in orange writing says, “This shirt was brought to you by the letters F and U.” There was also another shirt that made me think of Kel’s friend Robbie. It was pink and in blue lettering said, “Now that you’ve stopped laughing read the rest, this is your girlfriend’s shirt.” Kel laughed when I told her and said, “Yes that is a Robbie shirt.” I also came back with about… 8 new books from my fave discounted bookstore down there. I drove through Atlanta on the way back (SCARY) but I did okay, it being my first time and all.
This weekend is the Bitter Suite trip to Kentucky Kingdom. I’m so excited I can’t wait to see everyone. The weather is supposed to be great and not sweltering like it has been. I hope everything goes well… I still need to make the cd I promised Laura. I might do that this afternoon after I wake up from my nap. Laura stop laughing at me, I love my naps. I still need to pack… gah there is just so much to do. But it’s all worth it!
I saw Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Hallie on Wednesday night. It was pretty good. I almost cried at the end when my main man Siris fell back into the mirror. I read the book, I knew it was gonna happen but it still hurt. My mind was screaming, “NO! What will Harry and your boyfriend do now!?” I told a friend on AA that, he’s seen it twice and this was the convo that ensued:
Mully: I'll admit I found it sad, but for some reason I didn't feel almost on the verge of crying. Perhaps it wasn't as dramatic as I'd hoped it'd be. You and your yaoi XP
Elven: Dude, Siris and Remus are so snogging behind the scenes.
Mully: Of course they were. In your mind XD
Elven: No for real, just like Obi-Wan and Anakin were. I have GOT proof of that!
Mully: :o Show me this proof then.
Proof has been given but not replied to yet. –giggle-
Moving on to AA now, no to anyone who thinks I go to Alcoholics Anno. AA stands for a website I hang out on called Advanced Anime. So many things have been happening a lot of them make me giggle, and/or blush, or just really excited.
1. Before I went to Florida the great, beautiful, talented, Jent-sama started a contest to find 6 new knights for the Order of the Panties, the story is on one of the topics but I’m not even to sure that I understand it. Well anyway, I had always wanted a title on AA, I’m a Veteran and everything but having a title given to you shows that people respect and like you. And to be a knight! =O So I placed my name on the topic to be voted for. I knew I had gotten a couple of votes because some of my friends who voted for me said so. But there were a lot of votes. The votes were tallied and posted on Saturday night, it had been a really long drive back from Florida and I prolly could have waited until the next day but I didn’t. I got on AA to see if I had won. I had two new GB (guestbook) entries so I had to check those out first. One was from Jent, a link to the forum, I knew at that moment that I had won. I mean come on, why would she give me a link to it if I hadn’t? And then the one from Justin told me congrads so I KNEW and I was so excited I could hardly contain myself. So I am now, ElvenAvari Green Knight of AA’s Order of the Panties. Jent-sama drew a pic of me in my armor, she’s doing it for all the knights. I look awesome! 2. My friend Janie IMed me a couple of weeks ago for some “girl talk” so we had some talk and apparently I hadn’t told her a lot of things that I had discovered recently. It was great to get back in touch with her and find out what’s going on in her life. She got a new girlfriend who she is totally ga-ga over and it sounds like the other chick is totally ga-ga over Janie in return. I’m really happy for them and hope it lasts. Then I had to tell her about some developing relationships on my part. I don’t do online relationships very well, they never seem to turn out, at least for me. But I’ll totally go for online crushes. Because of the friends I have made on AA I’ve had about… 4 crushes on there. One completely broke my heart but the other three are some of the sweetest and greatest guys I know. The first I had has kinda fallen behind, even though he is my “husband” and jail bait. But he’s my Stinny and I care for him deeply. The second I had is my Mully, I really need a better nickname for him than that, but we have some great and random conversations. However out of all of them Clef is leading them. He is such a sweetheart and really treats me like a lady. We have some really deep conversations and I admire that about him, he can really make me life. At the moment he’s not looking for a relationship and I’m not really either but he said that he would be glad to let our friendship develop and see were it goes from there.
3. Speaking of online relationships, another friend of mine on AA got restricted permanently for doing something bad. He was telling me about it on YIM but wouldn’t go into great detail so I know it must have been really bad. We got to talking about relationships and how his last had ended badly. Then he said the most surprising thing I’ve ever heard, “…maybe you and me…” I swear my eyes almost fell out of my head and my jaw was on the floor. Although I like Dave I had never considered him liking me that way. I was speechless for a few moments before I told him my fears of an online relationship and how I needed to get to know him better before I agreed. So we played a game of twenty questions until I had to go to bed. It was all really interesting.
Wow I think I actually have you caught up on everything… and it only took –looks- 3 pages in Micro Word.
